OLYMPIC
Learn the art of Olympic Wrestling in a relaxed, supportive setting that’s all about getting better together. Our team regularly competes in Southampton and across the UK, proudly representing NGMA wherever we go. Come train, learn, and be part of a team that genuinely supports each other. Led by George who is passionate about wrestling and levelling the team up.

What it's all about
Wrestling is fast, powerful, and seriously fun, you’ll build strength, balance, and confidence while learning how to take people down (safely!) and control the fight. Our Beginners Wrestling classes focus on the fundamentals - movement, balance, setups, and takedowns. Everything’s broken down clearly so you can pick it up at your own pace, whether you’re completely new to grappling or just want to add wrestling to your BJJ or MMA game. Once you’re comfortable with the basics, move into the Intermediate Class where we add more technique, drilling, and live wrestling rounds. It’s a great way to test yourself, build fitness, and train with others who love putting in the work.

Wrestling is not only an incredible skill on its own but also an essential part of mixed martial arts (MMA), helping you become more confident and adaptable in every range of combat.

Your first session
New to martial arts? No problem. Your first class includes a warm-up, partner drills, and live rolling. Wear comfortable gym clothing and bring a bottle of water. We have equipment you can borrow for your first class, and once you’re ready, we sell everything you’ll need to get started. We strongly recommend that if you have no previous martial arts experience, you start with our Beginners wrestling class. It’s designed to give you the fundamentals in a friendly, supportive setting before you join the main sessions.

With sessions running throughout the week, it’s easy to find a time that works for you:
• Monday - 8:30pm
• Thursday - 6:00pm
If it’s your first time, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early so you can be shown around the facilities and complete a quick waiver before training begins. This way you’ll feel prepared and ready to jump straight into class.
